  • Conducting information gathering surveys and discussions between the Caribbean Meteorological Organizations and the meteorological organizations of each country, targeting the three countries of Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica and the Bahamas.

  • Understanding the organizational (human resources and technical capabilities) structure for observation in both normal and emergency situations (type, quality and quantity of information), observation equipment and its location, means of observation, means of data communication, confirmation of operational situation of information managing system (database) of each meteorological bureau in the Oceania countries (Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Solomon, Vanuatu, Tonga, Samoa, Nauru, Tuvalu, Niue, Palau, Micronesia, Marshall and Kiribati)
  • Understanding the situation of information sharing between each meteorological bureau in the Oceania countries and the respective domestic and international organizations concerned
  • Understanding the outgoing system of meteorological forecast and warning to disaster prevention agency and people
  • Knowledge on similar researches, activity situation of other donors, institutions and NGOs
  • Analysis of the need for improvement of the disaster management capability of each country.
  • Preparation of a draft cooperation program for disaster reduction according to the results of the above study
